On the eve of the World Cup quarter-finals, the head coach of the Uzbekistan U-17 national team, Islam Ismailov, shared his thoughts on the team's condition, the preparation process, and the opponent. According to him, the young national teams are in high spirits, and the team continues to prepare seriously for tomorrow's decisive match.
Ismailov emphasized that the preparation for the match against the Italians is no different from other matches - the team has learned to put all their effort into every match. "Our guys are in a very good mood. God willing, we will be on the field 100 percent," said the coach.
At the same time, he did not hide the fact that there are players in the team with minor injuries. The biggest loss is Mukhammad Khakimov, who will not be able to participate in an important match due to the disqualification. The coach added that there are solutions to fill this gap.
Islam Ismailov emphasized that he had thoroughly studied the Italian national team. "We have reviewed all their matches at the World Cup. This is one of the strongest teams not only in Europe, but in the entire tournament. But we have character. "I believe in the inner spirit of our guys," he said.
According to the coach, the team is not afraid of Italy's technical superiority; on the contrary, they intend to show their game and fight every minute on the field. "I think that tomorrow, when children fully realize their potential, we will be able to make our fans happy," Ismailov added.
