Sneijder: Yamal Is Barcelona's New Messi

Famous former Dutch footballer Wesley Sneijder has shared his opinion on the future of 18-year-old Lamine Yamal. Earlier this year, the "Barcelona" star winger extended his contract with the club until 2031.

"Yamal is the new Messi for Barcelona. The club will never let him go, and I believe he himself does not want to leave either.

He's been here since childhood, has already achieved significant success, and is receiving a high salary. He is Barcelona's star.

Why would he even consider moving to England or anywhere else? It makes no sense," said Sneijder.

"Perhaps in the future, after some analysis, Lamine might move to another team for a new experience, like Messi did. But it is 2025 now, and I believe he will remain at Barcelona for the next ten years," he added in an interview with "The Touchline."
