Albania's national team head coach Silvinho shared his thoughts following the draw for the World Cup playoff stage. His team will face Poland in the semifinals, playing away in March.
"First of all, I must say that we rightfully earned the privilege to be here. Football is a game where anything can happen over the course of 90 minutes.
We know the opposing team well, and they know us equally well. We are preparing for the match and are determined to move forward," the coach stated in an interview with the official website of the Albanian Football Federation.
"Regarding a potential final against Ukraine or Sweden? These teams are strong, and Poland, first of all, is a tough opponent, but the other two teams are also formidable.
We are well-acquainted with Ukraine from the Nations League, and we’ve played a friendly match against Sweden. They are teams with strong players."
In the qualification group, Albania outperformed Serbia, Latvia, and Andorra, but failed to achieve any result against the England national team.
