Radimov and Arshavin Discuss Safonov's Future

Former players of the Russian national football team Vladislav Radimov and Andrei Arshavin shared their views on the current state and future of goalkeeper Matvey Safonov. It was reported that Safonov played in PSG's last two matches, but this was due to Luka Chevalier’s injury.

Radimov stated, "Safonov needs to transfer to another team to play," during an interview on the "Fonbet" YouTube channel. Arshavin opposed this opinion, saying, "I don’t think so.

He will come out on top in the competition," he remarked. In response, Radimov countered, "I don’t think he will come out on top," he expressed.

They also discussed Chevalier’s performance. Radimov commented, "Chevalier is making mistakes and performing poorly, yet he is still the one appearing on the field," he said.

Arshavin, however, attributed this to reasons unrelated to football. Radimov emphasized, "Safonov is fully ready," he stated.

However, he also noted that Safonov played more matches during the same period last year compared to this year.
