L'Equipe Rates Safonov's Potential at PSG Highly

The French publication L’Equipe has published an article about PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov. According to the article's author, Jose Barroso, Safonov's consecutive appearances in the last two matches for the Paris team have further solidified his ambitions within the club.
The journalist noted that although head coach Luis Enrique still considers Lucas Chevalier the first-choice goalkeeper, "the Russian has every right to be confident." On Saturday, Chevalier was benched after the warm-up, and Safonov was entrusted with PSG's goalkeeping duties.
This marked the first time the French goalkeeper had been benched since joining the club. Chevalier was unavailable for the 5-0 victory over Rennes and the 0-0 draw with Athletic Bilbao due to injury.
Returning from injury over the weekend, Chevalier witnessed Safonov making his third consecutive start for PSG. Additionally, some sources in France accused Russian media of attempting to "push" Safonov into securing a position at PSG.
