Zaytsev: Safonov's Departure from PSG Not Under Consideration Yet

PSG goalkeeper Matvei Safonov’s sports lawyer, Yuriy Zaytsev, has commented on rumors about the Russian keeper’s potential departure from the club during the winter transfer window. According to Zaytsev, Safonov has neither legal nor internal issues with the French club.

He noted that the currently discussed matters are solely related to work processes, focusing on technical aspects such as clarifying tax calculations or coordinating media activities, including interviews. It was emphasized that these procedures are standard practice and do not involve any conflicts or disagreements with the club’s management.

“Safonov has no legal issues with PSG. We are resolving routine work-related matters: calculating tax amounts, coordinating interviews.

At present, there is no question of Matvei leaving PSG,” Zaytsev told "RB Sport." It is worth noting that Safonov has appeared in three matches for the Parisians this season, conceding two goals.
