Lewandowski May Accept Pay Cut to Stay at Barcelona

The future of Robert Lewandowski is once again on the agenda. The Polish striker's current contract with Barcelona is valid until the end of the 2025/2026 season.

According to SER Deportivos, Lewandowski might consider the possibility of extending his contract under reduced salary terms proposed by the club. Journalist Adria Soldevila stated that it remains uncertain whether Lewandowski will stay at Barcelona or move to another club.

It has been noted that the club does not intend to offer him a new contract with his previous salary terms when he turns 37. The striker's annual salary is currently €26 million.

That said, if Barcelona offers a contract with a reduced salary, Lewandowski is reportedly willing to agree to stay with the team for another year. However, there has been no significant progress in the negotiations so far.

At present, Barcelona is leading the La Liga standings.
