In the 27th round of the Spanish La Liga, Real Madrid played a very tough and nervous match against Celta Vigo. At the end of the match, the "royal club" snatched the victory in stoppage time, further increasing the pressure in the championship race - 1:2.
The match started at a fast pace, and Real Madrid opened the scoring in the 11th minute. Orelen Chuameni was the most agile in the movement around the penalty area, putting his team ahead. However, Celta also didn't give up quickly. In the 25th minute, Iglesias leveled the score, turning the Balaydos stands into fire - 1:1.
After that, the game was balanced for a long time: both teams had chances, but the decisive shots were either missing or blocked by the defenders in time. The biggest dramatic moment in the match, which seemed like it would somehow end in a draw, came in the 90+4th minute.
Federico Valverde saved Real Madrid at the last minute: he scored the winning goal for his team, effectively deducting three points. This goal significantly changed not only the outcome of the match, but also the situation in the tournament table.
With this victory, Arbeloa's team reached 63 points, minimizing the gap with league leaders Barcelona (64). Now in the championship race, each round becomes a "final": one mistake - and the position changes. Celta remain in 6th place with 40 points, missing out on crucial points in the Eurocup race.
