Athletes of Uzbekistan win the "Futures Cup" in Thailand

The international youth boxing tournament "Futures Cup" is being held in Bangkok, Thailand, and two Uzbekistan national teams are participating in this competition. Today's program featured intense fights for 12 of our athletes, including a number of experienced and promising boxers.

In the -48 kg weight category, Maftuna Musurmonova defeated Athena Juarez of Mexico with a score of 5:0 and advanced to the quarterfinals. At the same time, Rushanabonu Isoyeva also defeated Kaylee Aguilar from the USA with a score of 5:0 in the -60 kg weight category and reached the quarterfinals.

In the -55 kg weight category, Bekzod Ismoiljonov defeated Calvin Mattern from Germany by technical knockout in the first round. In the -70 kg weight category, Sayidxo'ja Sadillaxo'jayev faced Michael Maughan from England and lost by judges' decision with a score of 1:4.

In the -51 kg weight category, Nazokat Mardonova defeated Chih Yen Kuoni from Chinese Taipei with a score of 5:0. In the -70 kg weight category, Maftuna Yangiyeva lost to the representative of the USA, Marley McNeali, with a score of 2:3.

In the -75 kg weight category, Samira Turgunova defeated Romanian Andreea Timeea Tapuni with a score of 5:0 and advanced to the semifinals. In the -65 kg weight category, Ibrohim Shokirjonov defeated Italian Giuseppe Cavallo with a score of 4:1. In the -75 kg weight category, Sukhrob Rakhmatullayev defeated the representative of the USA, James Gentile, with a score of 5:0.

In the -80 kg weight category, Asilbek Abdusamadov lost 1:4 to Timur Taibekov from Kazakhstan and withdrew from the competition. In the +90 kg weight category, Islam Salikhov defeated Moroccan Mohamed Amine by technical knockout in the third round and advanced to the final.
