French MMA fighter Benoit Saint-Denis plans to make a big comeback in the octagon without spending time with minor opponents. Therefore, he openly stated his refusal to fight Michael Chandler at the UFC tournament in the White House.
"My main goal right now is to compete with Charles Oliveira. Of course, Max Holloway couldn't resist him, but I am capable of doing it. I'm even ready to meet him in Brazil," Sen-Denis said in an interview with the Super Moscato Show.
The French athlete added: "I received an offer to participate in the White House tournament, but I didn't want to compete with Michael Chandler, who is below me in the rankings. I also had serious health problems at the time. Now, in mid-July, I will return to the octagon 100 percent ready."
For information, in the UFC lightweight rankings, Saint-Denis is fifth, Charles Oliveira is third, and Michael Chandler is thirteenth. This provides Benua with future opportunities and high-level competitions.
