Now they want to bring back Martin Ødegaard, who didn't fit into Real Madrid's squad...

"Real Madrid" are reportedly considering a move to bring "Arsenal" midfielder Martin Odegaard back to Spain during the summer transfer window. The Spanish giants are said to be looking for major reinforcements, and the Norway international has emerged as one of the names on their shortlist.

Recent reports have linked the "Arsenal" captain with a possible departure, especially as the London club may need to raise funds by selling one of its most valuable players. That has fueled speculation over Odegaard’s future, even though he remains one of the team’s key figures.

Odegaard originally joined the "Real Madrid" system in 2015, signing for the club’s "Castilla" side. However, he was unable to secure a lasting place in the senior squad and spent time out on several loan spells before leaving permanently for "Arsenal" in 2021.

Since arriving in London, the 27-year-old has developed into one of the Premier League’s leading midfielders. Still, according to Football Transfers, sources close to "Arsenal" have dismissed suggestions that the player is preparing to leave. The report adds that Odegaard himself does not want to quit the club and is ready to continue his future with "Arsenal". Transfermarkt currently values him at 65 million euros.
