Our boxers at the Asian Championship: a day of victories and painful defeats

The Asian Boxing Championship, which is being held in the Mongolian city of Ulaanbaatar, is in full swing. Today, as part of the quarter-final matches, 5 of our athletes, defending the honor of our country, entered the ring and presented unforgettable fights to the fans.
Our representative in the -65 kg weight category, Feruza Abdualimova, fought against North Korean He Sun Hwang. The fight was tense and uncompromising from the very beginning. Unfortunately, a technical knockout was recorded in the second round, and Abdualimova was forced to end the fight early.
Another promising boxer in this weight category, Abdullah Madaminov, entered the ring against Indian representative Pratap Yadav. Despite the fact that the opponent tried to put up serious resistance, Madaminov's activity, speed and pressure became the decisive factor. As a result, he won with an absolute advantage of 5:0 and secured a place in the semifinals.
Our talented boxer Aziza Zokirova in the -75 kg weight category also pleased the fans with her performance. She gained complete superiority in the fight against Japanese Naoko Kasahara, leaving almost no chance for her opponent. A technical knockout was recorded in the third round, and Zokirova confidently advanced to the semifinals.
In the -60 kg weight category, Abdurakhmon Makhmudjonov fought against Jordanian Muhammad Abu. This fight can be safely called a "master class". Our representative demonstrated an all-round advantage in the ring, achieved a convincing victory with a score of 5:0 and joined the ranks of the semifinals.
Our boxer Arman Makhanov in the +90 kg weight category entered the ring against a very strong opponent - the world champion from Kazakhstan, Aibek Oralbai. Makhanov fought hard, exerted all his strength. However, experience and rank spoke for themselves - the fight ended in favor of the opponent with a score of 1:4.
In short, today's matches were both a test and a day of opportunity for our country's boxers. Three of our athletes reached the semifinals and continue to fight for medals. Now the main question is - will they be able to make it to the final and fight for gold? The intrigue is just beginning.
