Uzbek athletes compete for the gold medal at the Asian Championships

The first medal winners of the Asian Wrestling Championship held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, have been determined, bringing joy to the fans. In the programs on April 7, members of the Uzbek team demonstrated their strength and skill, winning one gold, silver and bronze medal in each weight category.

The gold medal was won by Ikhtiyor Batyrov, who competed in the -55 kg weight category, giving the team a sense of victory and moral strength. The silver medal went to Rafael Tsitsuashvili, who competed in the -130 kg weight category. Doniyorkhon Nakibov, who competed in the -77 kg weight category, also won a bronze medal.

The Uzbek athletes showed great consistency in the qualifying matches. Alisher Ganiev qualified for the final, where he will compete for the gold medal. Two more wrestlers, Abdumalik Aminov (-67 kg) and Shahzod Kuchkarov (-72 kg), also had the opportunity to compete for the bronze medal on April 8.
