“Sogdiana” finally achieved victory: “Kyzylkum” defeated

Within the framework of the 7th round of the Uzbekistan Super League, one of the next encounters passed in an interesting way and was rich in dramatic moments for fans. In it, Jizzakh’s team “Sogdiana” went out on the field away against Navoi’s club “Kyzylkum” and demonstrated a confident and dominant performance. As a result of the match, the visitors achieved a 3:1 victory and officially recorded their first success in the current championship.
Before this match, the season for “Sogdiana” had started difficultly. The team suffered defeat in four of the first six meetings, and in two clashes a draw result was recorded. Therefore, today’s encounter had special importance for the players and the coaching staff. They came onto the field not only to collect points, but also to restore their confidence.
Already in the first half, the visitors took the initiative. In the 29th minute, Lyupcho Doriev struck the opponent’s goal and opened the score. Soon after, in the 41st minute, Faisal Mulic strengthened his team’s advantage and contributed to finishing the first half in favor of “Sogdiana”.
In the second half, the Jizzakh team also acted in an attacking spirit. In the 60th minute, Otabek Juraquziyev increased the score even more, putting the opponent in a difficult situation. The home team, however, managed to score a reply goal in the 71st minute through Samandar Shukrullayev. However, this goal could not seriously affect the fate of the match.
The meeting took place in the city of Navoi at the “Yoshlar” stadium, and both teams acted actively. Despite this, in terms of initiative and efficiency, “Sogdiana” was superior.

This victory will certainly serve to improve “Sogdiana”’s position in the tournament table. Most importantly, the team achieved a long-awaited first victory and felt significant relief psychologically. Now they will try to continue this result in the upcoming matches.
