Endrick decided to move to Lyon on his wife's advice

Real Madrid forward Endrick's father, Douglas Sousa, made a harsh assessment of his son's time at the Spanish club. According to him, the Madrid club's management deprived the 19-year-old Brazilian talent of what was most precious to him — the opportunity to play football. This was reported by Goal.com reported.

After Endrick did not get enough playing time under Xabi Alonso in Madrid, he was loaned to France's Lyon during the winter transfer window. Douglas Sousa described his son's situation in Spain as “they took away his playground.”

The player's father also revealed that Endrick's wife, Gabriely Miranda, played a major role in this transfer. It was his wife's advice and involvement in the negotiations that led the Brazilian star to choose the French championship.

In France, Endrick has returned to his best form and has scored 7 goals and provided 7 assists in 18 matches. His effective performance, especially in the match against PSG, drew the attention of experts.

According to Douglas Sousa, his son is now happy and aims to play for Brazil at the 2026 World Cup. In his view, Endrick's current form should also be a serious signal for Carlo Ancelotti.
