Isak scores debut goal for Liverpool at Anfield

Liverpool forward Alexander Isak said he is regaining his form after scoring his first goal for the Merseyside club in a 3:1 match against Crystal Palace. The Swedish footballer was transferred from Newcastle last August for 125 million pounds sterling. Goal.com reports.
The 26-year-old forward's career after his record-breaking transfer in England has been somewhat difficult because of injuries. He was sidelined for a long time due to a serious leg injury in December and the surgery that followed.

Isak, who converted the shot delivered by Alexis Mac Allister, hopes the goal will be a turning point for him. The player said he is overcoming physical and mental difficulties and returning to full form.
Team coach Arne Slot had said before the match that Isak was still not at his peak level. However, the forward's goal gave Liverpool three important points and moved the team up to fourth place in the table.
Freddie Woodman, the club's third-choice goalkeeper, guarded Liverpool's net in the match. The goalkeeper, who made his debut because Alisson and Mamardashvili were injured, along with Florian Wirtz's last-minute goal, sealed Liverpool's victory.
