Former German footballer Toni Kroos is holding concrete negotiations regarding a return to Real Madrid. The 36-year-old star, who retired after the 2024 European Championship, will not return to the pitch as a player. Goal.com reports this.
Club management is offering Kroos the path taken by Zinedine Zidane. According to it, the former midfielder is expected to initially start as a consultant and later transition into a coaching role.
Currently, results at Real Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti have declined, and the team is at risk of remaining without trophies. Club president Florentino Perez and other officials want to use Kroos's experience in making strategic decisions.
At the moment, Toni Kroos is busy with his football academy and personal podcast project in Madrid. If an agreement is reached, he will occupy an important place within the first team's inner circle.
