Ruud Gullit: The only certainty for Chelsea managers is getting sacked

Former Chelsea player and manager Ruud Gullit explained in an interview with GOAL why top-tier specialists like Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, and Jurgen Klopp avoid managing the London club. According to him, the lack of stability and constant managerial turnover have diminished the team's appeal. This is reported by Goal.com .
Gullit noted that Chelsea is going through a difficult period in the 2025-26 season and is at risk of missing out on European competitions. Although the club owners are spending heavily in the transfer market, the focus on young talents instead of experienced players is leading to inconsistent results.
Currently, following the departures of Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior, Calum McFarlane is in temporary charge of the team. He led the squad to the FA Cup final. The final match against Manchester City on May 16 could offer Chelsea a path to qualify for the Europa League.
In Ruud Gullit's opinion, any manager understands that the team needs experienced players like Casemiro or Aurelien Tchouameni. Without experienced performers in the midfield alongside young talents, achieving high results is difficult. This factor, combined with the pressure at the club, forces top managers to reject the Chelsea option.
