Roberto De Zerbi assesses Dejan Kulusevski's World Cup chances

Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi is doubtful about Dejan Kulusevski's chances of playing for the Sweden national team in the upcoming World Cup. Due to a serious knee injury, the winger has been sidelined for a long time, and the coach emphasized that it will be difficult for the player to recover before the tournament. This is reported by Goal.com .
Kulusevski has not played since May 2025 due to a knee injury. Speaking about the player's condition, De Zerbi noted that participating in the World Cup is a complex task for a player who has not played a single match throughout the season. Nevertheless, the Swedish player remains confident in his chances and is putting in all his effort to feature for the national team.
The Italian specialist also addressed Richarlison's physical condition. The Brazilian forward did not participate in training after the match against Aston Villa, but De Zerbi explained that this is not an injury, but related to load management. The coach admitted he made a mistake by keeping the player on the pitch until the end of the game.
