Cristiano Ronaldo and his way of celebrating a Ballon d’Or win

Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his relentless work ethic to be the best throughout his career. During his time at Real Madrid, new details about his self-discipline and dedication have emerged. In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Davide Ancelotti spoke about the habits of the Portuguese star when he won his third Ballon d’Or in 2014. This is reported by Goal.com .
According to Davide Ancelotti, after winning the award, Ronaldo celebrated with just a single glass of champagne. Immediately after, he returned to training and demanded extra exercises to burn off the excess calories. It is this extreme attention to his body that allows him to still perform at a high level, even as he approaches 40.
Ancelotti also touched upon the competitive atmosphere in the Real Madrid dressing room. He noted that team members tried to outperform each other not only on the pitch but in every training session at the base. Even on the way back from away games, players would make bets and compete fiercely in games like badminton or foot-tennis.
Davide highlighted Toni Kroos and Luka Modric as the most perfect players he has worked with. According to him, these players were true perfectionists in their small habits and preparation processes. For example, Modric once had a serious argument with a kit-man who forgot his special socks, because every detail was as important to them as winning.
