Enthusiast cools Intel Core i9-14900K and RTX 5090 using an air conditioner
Chinese tech blogger Electrolytic Sodium Carbonate (ESC) has developed an unconventional cooling system by connecting his PC to a Xiaomi KFR-35GW air conditioner with a power of 12,000 BTU. This method resulted in record-low temperatures.

The test system included an Intel Core i9-13900K processor paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090. However, the blogger believes that this cooling method is ideal for more powerful setups, such as the Intel Core i9-14900K and Nvidia RTX 5090. He is currently waiting for a compatible water block for the new GPU to conduct full-scale tests.

The air conditioner required significant modifications, with dimensions of 765 × 268 × 550 mm. However, its efficiency proved to be outstanding. After 40 minutes of stress testing using FurMark and AIDA System Stability Test, the CPU cores' temperature rose only by a few degrees.

Later, the cooling unit was moved outdoors. Initially, the GPU temperature was just 2 °C, increasing to 12 °C under load. Further stress tests showed maximum GPU temperatures between 20 and 36 °C.

The creator of this modification believes that the system will also be effective for the upcoming Nvidia RTX 6090.
