Telegram launches official fact-checking feature

Telegram has officially launched its fact-checking feature, as reported by Kursiv Media. The update was first noticed by the editorial team of “Durov’s Code.”

The “Fact Check” label appeared under a post in the We TON channel, which falsely claimed that Telegram was leaving Russia. The source cited was the satirical outlet “Panorama.”

A clarification block was added directly below the post stating that Pavel Durov made no such statement. The note was added by Telegram itself, not by the channel admins.
