US halts freeze on electric vehicle charging station funds

According to TechCrunch.com, the Trump administration has lifted the freeze on $5 billion allocated for electric vehicle charging stations after losing in court.

The funds were part of a federal program aimed at expanding the EV charging infrastructure. The administration had previously paused distribution of the money.

Following the court’s decision, federal and local agencies can resume projects and put the funding to use.

Officials emphasized that these funds are crucial for advancing EV infrastructure and supporting the electric vehicle market.
