U.S. President Donald Trump announced the introduction of an annual $100,000 fee for H-1B work visas. The decision was presented as part of his immigration restriction policy.

Microsoft, Amazon and other major companies sent warnings to their employees to avoid foreign travel or return quickly to the United States. Thousands of their specialists work under H-1B visas.

In Frankfurt trading, shares of companies such as Apple, Nvidia, Meta and Tesla showed only minor changes. Overall, the market remained stable.

According to official data, in the first half of the year Amazon obtained more than 12,000 H-1B visas. Microsoft and Meta each secured more than 5,000 visas. The new regulation could create major difficulties for these companies.
