Tesla founder Elon Musk posted a video of the company's new autonomous robot, Optimus, in combat training on his X social media page.
The video shows the robot participating in kung-fu training with a human, synchronously responding to movements, performing blocks of strikes and defenses in a coordinated manner, with movements similar to dancing.
According to Musk, the robot operates independently through built-in artificial intelligence and operates without human control. He also reported a significant improvement in his speed and smooth movements.
Ashok Elluswamy, Tesla's Vice President of Artificial Intelligence, stated that the company is actively working on creating a unified AI platform for Optimus robots and electric vehicles with autopilot systems.
For information, the Tesla Optimus was first presented on August 19, 2021, and its working prototype was shown in 2022. The device is planned to be released for public sale in 2026.
