According to TechCrunch, Figma is introducing Google Gemini artificial intelligence models into its platform in partnership with Google. This collaboration aims to expand Figma's previously developed AI features and better meet the needs of designers and their teams.
Within the framework of integration, the Gemini 2.5 Flash, Gemini 2.0, and Imagen 4 models will be added to Figma's lineup of AI tools. At the same time, the company will continue its cooperation with Google Cloud.
Gemini 2.5 Flash will be added to image editing and generation processes inside Figma. Now, 13 million active users will be able to generate images via text requests and edit them in real time. Tests have shown that the speed of image generation has increased by 50% with the new system.
Google recognized this project as an important step toward increasing work efficiency and automating digital processes. The company also introduced a new AI platform called Gemini Enterprise — it allows enterprises to “communicate” directly with their own data and applications.
According to Google, 65% of Google Cloud users are currently using AI services.
Additionally, Google has announced AI partnerships with major companies such as GAP, Mercedes, Klarna, Macquarie Bank, Virgin Voyages, and others.
