Apple M5 Max chip sets a new record

Apple's new M5 Max chip has stunned everyone in its first performance tests. In initial trials on the Geekbench 6 platform, the 18-core processor scored 29,233 points, setting a new record. It turns out this result is even higher than that of the 32-core M3 Ultra chip. Reports macrumors.com.
According to analysis, the M5 Max chip performs 5% faster than the M3 Ultra and 15% faster than the M4 Max in multi-core performance. Additionally, the chip became the leader among all PC processors in single-core tests with 4,268 points. This surpassed even the most powerful models in the AMD Ryzen 9 series, once again proving the strength of Apple Silicon technology.
Pre-orders are currently being accepted for the new MacBook Pro models equipped with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. Delivery to the first owners and retail availability are scheduled for March 11. Experts are also expecting the release of Metal test results, which will reflect graphics performance, very soon.
