Samsung releases second security update for four flagships in April

Samsung has begun rolling out a second security update for a number of smartphones for April 2026. Ixbt.com reports this.

Typically, devices receive only one patch per month. However, this time, carrier versions of the Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, as well as the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S26 series in the US, received an additional update.

Although the new software is called the April security patch like the previous one, their numbers differ. This means that the company is closing vulnerabilities or fixing critical bugs without waiting for the next month.

Such a practice is very rare and usually indicates urgent fixes that require rapid distribution.
