Spotify introduces a special label to protect artists from artificial intelligence

The streaming service Spotify is launching a large-scale verification program to help listeners distinguish authentic human-created content from tracks generated by artificial intelligence. A green "Verified by Spotify" checkmark will appear on artist pages. This was reported by Ixbt.com xabar.
This innovation is a response to the sharp increase in the number of AI-generated music tracks. According to data from the competitor service Deezer, 44 percent of daily uploaded tracks are created by neural networks.
To receive the verification badge, an artist must prove their real-life activity. This includes information about concert tours, merchandise sales, and social media engagement.
Spotify will generally not grant this badge to profiles created primarily with the help of artificial intelligence.
In the initial phase, 99 percent of the most popular artists will receive this badge. The majority of them are independent creators.
Additionally, Spotify is testing an "Artist Profile Protection" feature that allows musicians to pre-moderate releases attributed to their names.
