Mobile internet restricted in Moscow and other Russian cities

Starting from 05:00 on May 9, temporary restrictions on mobile internet and SMS services were introduced in Moscow due to holiday events. The Russian Ministry of Digital Development had previously warned users about this situation. Home Wi-Fi networks continue to operate as usual. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
Central streets of the capital, including Tverskaya, Mokhovaya, Bolshaya Nikitskaya, Petrovka, Okhotny Ryad, and Volkhonka streets, as well as the Kremlin and Moskvoretskaya embankments, have been closed to traffic. Parking in these areas has been prohibited since May 8.
Changes are also observed in the operation of the metro. Several stations in the center, specifically Okhotny Ryad, Teatralnaya, and Aleksandrovsky Sad, will be open only for entry and transfers. The restrictions will remain in effect until the end of the holiday events.
Reports are coming in that disruptions related to mobile communication and internet are being observed not only in Moscow but also in Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Rostov, and other cities.
