English not required: Visitors to the Chinese space station must learn Chinese

While Chinese astronauts previously had to learn English to coordinate operations with the International Space Station, the situation has now changed. Astronauts from other countries are now required to achieve proficiency in Chinese before boarding the Chinese space station. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
Recently, two Pakistani astronauts arrived at the China Astronaut Research and Training Center. They will undergo training alongside their Chinese colleagues as part of space station missions. According to the agreed plan, one of the Pakistani specialists will serve as a payload specialist on a short-term mission.
A specialized training program for foreign astronauts is currently being implemented. This program includes in-depth Chinese language study alongside professional technical training in the aerospace field. All training is focused on developing practical skills to execute mission phases flawlessly.
Officials state that all foreign astronauts undergo intensive Chinese language courses during the initial period after joining the team. They must memorize not only daily communication but also all professional commands and terminology used during flight. This ensures precise coordination among the crew during all space operations.
