Asus announces new ROG NUC compact computer

Asus has announced plans to update its ROG NUC line of compact gaming computers, as reported by Ixbt.com. The new ROG NUC device was showcased in a successful gaming teaser released in May in China, resembling the current model while indicating that only the hardware will be upgraded without altering the case or cooling system. Although official specifications have yet to be revealed, it is expected to feature processors from the Arrow Lake Refresh family, including the 24-core Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus or the 20-core Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus, along with a GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop graphics card. The official premiere of the new Asus ROG NUC is scheduled for early June during the Computex 2026 exhibition.

Based on the released image, the new device looks very similar to the current model. This suggests that the company will update only the hardware components without changing the chassis and cooling system design.
Official specifications have not yet been disclosed. However, the mini-PC is expected to be equipped with Core Ultra 200HX Plus processors from the Arrow Lake Refresh family.
The device may feature either a 24-core Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus or a 20-core Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus processor. In terms of graphics, it is speculated that the GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU will be retained.
The official premiere of the new Asus ROG NUC computer is scheduled to take place in early June at the Computex 2026 exhibition.
