Xiaomi Prints One Million Copies of Smartphone Guide for Elderly

To bridge this social gap, the Chinese company Xiaomi has launched a massive project: the brand has printed 1 million copies of a special guide on how to use a smartphone, according to Ixbt.com reports .

According to Ixbt.com, these books, titled "Smartphone Guide for the Elderly", are being distributed completely free of charge at official Xiaomi Home stores. Through this initiative, the company aims to help seniors who feel uncomfortable in the world of digital technologies to make their daily tasks easier.

Complex technologies in simple language

The guide was prepared based on a special methodology, where all instructions are presented in a very simple and understandable language. The book pays special attention to important aspects such as basic smartphone functions, including enlarging text size, adjusting volume, and recognizing application icons.

Detailed instructions are also provided for the processes that cause the most difficulty for the elderly — adding a new contact, installing and uninstalling apps, changing the lock screen wallpaper, and working with basic settings. Each action is enriched with visual illustrations, allowing the user to manage the device independently.

Social responsibility and wide coverage

This is not Xiaomi's first project in this direction. In February of this year, the brand printed 70,000 copies of such guides and distributed them through more than 2,000 stores. The next print run of 1 million copies demonstrates just how successful and in-demand the project is.

Given that Xiaomi smartphones are among the most popular devices in the Uzbekistan market as well, such initiatives are also relevant for local users. Although these books are currently intended only for the Chinese market, the company's approach could serve as an example for other tech giants.
