A tram returns to Tashkent

A vintage tram has made its way back to Tashkent. It has been placed on Gulkhaniy Street in the "Katta Aktepa" neighborhood of Shaykhantahur district, where it will serve as a symbol of a new 24-hour tourist street. The project aims to boost tourism appeal and enhance local services.

This tram previously operated on route №17 in Aktepa. Plans are underway for its full restoration so it can be displayed as a historical exhibit. However, its current state is quite poor. After spending nearly 10 years in the 12th bus depot, where it was initially in good condition, the tram has now deteriorated significantly.
