Samarkand to host a $50,000 international chess tournament

Samarkand will host the international chess tournament “Women’s Chess Championship 2025” with a total prize fund of $50,000. This was reported by the press service of the “UzChess” project.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from March 8 to 19, 2025, bringing together top female chess players from around the world. The “Women’s Chess Championship” is expected to serve not only as an exciting event for chess enthusiasts but also as a significant platform promoting sports, knowledge, and gender equality, according to the official announcement.
