Tashkent will open its first public park without attractions or commercial outlets in spring 2025, nova24.uz reported.
The eco-park is being built on a 7.5-hectare former wasteland in the Yunusabad district. The site now has 1,200 trees and 23,000 shrubs planted. The trees bloom in different seasons and include species like ash, maple, oak, and Japanese sophora.
At the center will be a rose garden with over 100 varieties. The park will have no rides or shops, only birdhouses, an artificial lake, and a solar-powered irrigation pond. Walking paths will be paved with stone, benches made of wood, and trash bins placed only at entrances.
The concept is based on European and Japanese models. Entry will be free and open to all. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
