
In the first quarter of 2025, a total of 198,089 babies were born in Uzbekistan, according to the State Committee on Statistics, Upl.uz reported. These figures reflect population growth from January to March.
The most active age group among fathers was 25 to 39 years, accounting for 82.7% of births. Fathers under 25 made up 9.6%, while those over 40 accounted for 7.7%.
For mothers, the distribution differs slightly. Women aged 25 to 39 made up 61.5% of new mothers. Young women under 25 accounted for 37.1%, and only 1.4% of new mothers were aged 40 or older.
