
$61 million will be allocated to improve infrastructure in 49 mahallas of Khorezm Region, reported Kursiv.media. The funding will come from international financial institutions and was presented to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Additionally, 233 billion UZS will be allocated from the state budget this year to modernize business infrastructure in underprivileged neighborhoods. Another ten mahallas are expected to receive an additional 10 billion UZS.
A separate regional program will be developed to plant 10 million gujum saplings along streets, roadsides, and within mahallas.
It was also noted that with support from Austria's Bauer company, a rainwater irrigation system will be implemented on 7,500 hectares of land. The pilot project is expected to launch later this year.
