Sewer system to be updated in Khorezm
In 2025, reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems will begin in Khorezm region, reports uz.kursiv.media. A total of 1.1 trillion soums will be allocated for these purposes.

Currently, 16% of water supply and 27% of sewer networks are in emergency condition. The problem is particularly acute in Urgench, Khiva, and Pitnak.

In the near future, work will commence to update sewer systems in these three cities and in Gurlan district.

By the end of the year, 101 km of new water and sewer networks will be constructed in Khorezm. Additionally, $85 million is planned to be attracted from international organizations for further development of the sewer system.

Furthermore, in 2025, 12 trillion soums will be allocated for contracting work, providing employment for 20,000 people. Plans include the construction of 200 multi-apartment buildings, repair of 1,500 km of roads, and 20 bridges.

To improve public transport, 80 new buses will be purchased, and six new routes will be launched.
