Strawberry prices have dropped sharply in Tashkent markets, reports Upl.uz. Recently, fresh strawberries have been available at unprecedentedly low prices — starting from 15,000 UZS per kilogram. This is one of the lowest rates in recent years.
The most attractive prices are observed at major trading venues in the capital, such as Farhod, TTZ, Chorsu, Qodisheva, and Yunusabad. Here, the cost of one kilogram of strawberries varies up to 25,000 UZS. Pricing also depends on the variety: the most affordable option is the "Viktoriya" variety, while "Izabella" remains the most expensive offering on the market.
For comparison, in April of this year, the first batches of strawberries were offered at significantly higher prices, ranging from 50,000 to 120,000 UZS per kilogram.
