Ministry of Emergency Situations comments on smoke at Chorsu Bazaar

Reports of a fire at Chorsu Bazaar have circulated on social media. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has provided an official comment on the situation.

It is reported that on May 29, the Emergency Situations Department received a notification about smoke at a trade market on Saqichmon Street, Shaykhontohur District, Tashkent. Rescue units arrived at the scene immediately.

During the inspection, it was determined that the smoke was caused by a melting electrical cable in the basement of the shops. According to the Ministry, no fire occurred.

There were no casualties as a result of the incident. Currently, the causes of the incident and the extent of the damage are being investigated.
