Uzbek military personnel will take part in the Victory Day parade in Moscow on May 9, 2025, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, upl.uz reported.
According to Yuri Ushakov, aide to the President of Russia, troops from Uzbekistan and 12 other countries will participate in the event. These include military contingents from Central and Southeast Asia.
Ushakov clarified that North Korean soldiers are not expected to join the parade.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged other countries not to send their military personnel to the Moscow parade. The ministry emphasized that this especially applies to nations declaring neutrality in the context of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
According to Ukraine’s MFA, participation would be viewed as a breach of neutrality. Nevertheless, Uzbekistan and several other countries have confirmed their involvement in the event. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
