Summer 2025 in Uzbekistan: Hot days and the impact of global warming
In Uzbekistan, a forecast and guidelines from "Uzhydromet" regarding the summer season of 2025 have been announced. According to the forecast, starting from early June, significantly hot days are expected to increase across the country in the coming months.

The yearly changes in the country’s climate and the increase in average summer temperatures are widely discussed topics. Following the recent extreme heat waves of 2023, the summer of 2025 is expected to be considerably hotter due to global warming and the effects of El Niño.

Also, according to June forecasts, the average daytime air temperature will be around 33–38 degrees, and in desert and southern areas it may rise up to 40 degrees. This may result in very hot and uncomfortable days for the population of many cities.

In addition, rainfall in June will be distributed unevenly. Especially in desert regions, reduced precipitation may lead to an increase in dust and sandstorms. Under such harsh conditions, high air temperatures can have a negative impact on the population.

Throughout the summer of 2025, mostly hot periods are expected, and compared to May, there will be less rainfall. From June 1 to 7, mostly dry weather is expected across Uzbekistan, with air temperatures around 35–38 degrees. The hottest days are expected in the northern, southern, and desert areas.

Moreover, with the effects of global warming, the likelihood of hotter summers each year is increasing. These conditions have a serious impact on daily life and attract the attention of organizations and professionals across various sectors.

At the same time, all necessary measures must be taken to address the growing climate challenges in the republic and to improve the population’s preparedness for extreme conditions.

Public and private sectors are working to maintain a comfortable environment for people by paying attention to these issues. Additionally, new environmental initiatives are being implemented at global and local levels to improve atmospheric conditions and combat climate change.
