
During a business trip to India, Uzbek businesswomen signed contracts totaling $13 million, reports the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan via UPL.
One of the major agreements was with Gokal International Clinic for the supply of medical goods worth $3 million. Additional deals included $2.5 million for medical clothing and $1 million for textile exports.
Some agreements also cover the education sector, though specifics have not yet been disclosed.
As of early May 2025, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and India reached $383 million, up from $280.6 million during the same period in 2024 — a 36% increase.
During the trip, Uzbek businesswomen held negotiations, showcased their products, and discussed export opportunities. In recent years, India has become a key market for Uzbekistan’s textile exports — which rose by 15% in 2024.
