
According to the May 2025 Speedtest Global Index report, Uzbekistan has improved its ranking in both mobile and broadband internet speeds, reports UPL.uz.
In mobile internet, Uzbekistan climbed to 71st place, one rank higher than in April. The average mobile speed is now 55.34 Mbps.
In fixed broadband, the country rose from 76th to 72nd place, with an average speed of 87.23 Mbps.
Projects to deploy 5G and expand 4G coverage are underway in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara. Local authorities in Fergana and Andijan are also supporting infrastructure development.
The UAE (539.84 Mbps) leads in mobile, while Singapore (372.02 Mbps) is top in fixed broadband.
