Uzbekistan’s IT exports reach $1B in five years
Uzbekistan’s IT service exports have grown from $170 million to $1 billion over the past five years, Kursiv Media reported.

At a presentation to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the development of digital technologies, it was noted that Uzbek startups have attracted $70 million in venture capital. Around 40,000 young IT professionals in Uzbekistan are earning high salaries.

The number of IT Park residents has surpassed 2,800, including 752 foreigners.

According to the presidential press service, Uzbekistan climbed 17 positions in the global AI readiness index, becoming the top-ranked country in Central Asia. The country also led the CIS in telecom sector growth.

Plans through 2026 were presented: the share of digital public services is to reach 70%, and the IT services market is expected to grow to 100 trillion UZS. Uzbekistan aims to improve its e-government ranking from 63rd to 55th place next year.

The presentation also highlighted tax incentives for relocating specialists and the importance of improving regional conditions for foreign companies.
