New program to start from October 1, 2025

Starting October 1, 2025, Uzbekistan will launch a new program to build football fields in local mahallas, Uz24 reported.

Under the program, vacant state-owned land plots will be put up for electronic auction. The auction condition requires that part of the land be used for constructing a football field, with its purpose unchanged for at least 10 years.

Winners of the online auctions will have the right to use the remaining part of the land according to existing laws. The initiative aims to gradually develop sports infrastructure across mahallas.
