First school bell in Uzbekistan to ring on September 2

Starting September 2, the first school bell will ring across Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education announced.

Traditionally, the first lesson will be held as a themed class called “Hour of the Future” under the slogan “For the Motherland, for the Nation, for the People!”.

This year, more than 738,000 children will enter first grade for the first time. Each first grader will receive a presidential gift containing 12 essential school supplies.
