New initiatives are being implemented in Uzbekistan to support farmers and further develop the textile industry. This was discussed in detail at a videoconference meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to the new decree, farmers will now be provided with additional material assistance from the state so that they can harvest cotton on time without losses. In particular, a subsidy of 1 million soums will be allocated for each ton of cotton. This measure is expected to significantly reduce crop losses during the harvest season.
At the same time, textile enterprises will also receive state support. If enterprises grow cotton at their own expense or purchase it from the market, the state will reimburse them 10 percent of the cost of raw materials. This significantly reduces production costs and gives the industry additional incentives.
