FIFA will open a regional office for Central Asia in Tashkent, Kursiv.media reported.
This agreement was reached during a meeting between Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Infantino also congratulated Uzbekistan's national team on qualifying for the World Cup.
The two sides discussed expanding cooperation in transforming the football management and organization system.
They highlighted the promotion of football among young people and initiatives to develop sports infrastructure.
FIFA supported the establishment of a football center in Uzbekistan.
At the end of the meeting, President Mirziyoyev awarded Gianni Infantino the Dustlik medal.
The medal was given for promoting Uzbek football on the international stage.
Infantino also visited the Olympic Village and attended the CAFA 2025 final in Tashkent.
